5 Ultra-Rare Games by "Aim Software"

Post by Barney »

Here are 5 rare Aim Software (General Masters) games for Archive.
1. Butterfly - 8k
2. Night Scanner - 8k
3. Gold Diggers - 8k
4. Water Marauder - 8k
5. Freezing Point - Unexpanded

A couple years ago I posted several ALA Software games and a member was able to generate the entire list in a D64 file. That would be awesome if somebody again could lump them all in one D64 file.

Note: I will take pictures of the boxes and games in a couple days.

Note: I attempted to convert the tap files to D64. I don't have any way to test them out right now, but if somebody could check, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

You're welcome. Got to preserve these games before they disappear forever. I have several more in the next few days.

I think this is the thread you mean

I can easily merge the files, do they need to be in any particular order?

Actually, is it possible to do each one individually? I have the Backbit cart and for some reason, it doesn't work correctly when they are lumped together. Thank you very much for your help.

Had all those in my watch list as well and saw them sold, had wondered

I've got a pile of unarchived other K-Tek and AIM software releases here that I never managed to preserve sitting here, if you're potentially interested in both acquiring and doing the backing up yourself.

Yeah I would definitely be interested in that. K-tek, Ala and Aim games were my favorite as a kid. PM me with all the info and details. Thanks.

Had a lot of unusual trouble converting these. Tried the .tap files and all seemed OK so made them all one-filers and saved to disk. Went through them all again and some wouldn't work. Then Butterfly refused to load from .tap so had to resort to files from Barney's converted disk. Tap Clean won't work on my windows 11 laptop so couldn't try that. Anyhow, started over again this morning and all seems to be working - very strange.

Try the files below and see if they still work properly.

P.S. Freezing Point is unexpanded, the rest require +8k.
