how to play a dump of Choplifter cartridge?

I, in my real vic and in VICE 1.17 i've verified that if i try to load the cartridge dump using 8k in bank5, the cartridge does not start is a protected cartridge? it possible to fix? normally i start dumps in this way:
LOAD "CARTDUMPA0",8,1
SYS64802

It should start (I just tried in VICE with loading into BLK5 memory expansion, not mounting cartridge image). However, you should get Choplifter.prg, not Choplifter-orig.prg since the latter has a copy protection and appears to overwrite itself once you start the game. As ROM can not be written to, it doesn't matter with the original cartridge but it matters when you run it from RAM.
