Wanted: Keycap (#6) with key post and rubber plunger

Post by lgallair »

I bought a Vic-20 recently but it's missing the "6" key. Rather than buying a new keyboard, I first want to see if anyone has just the key cap, post and rubber plunger for sale. The keycaps are dark brown in color so it wold be nice if I could get one like that so it matches. PM me if you have spare keys. Thanks

That's the very earliest 1st Series Commodore "Helvetica Font" Keyboard. It was produced for only a very, very short time by Commodore. The same key posts were also used in the "Eurostile" Keyboard also. The keyposts are very hard to find. Someone may have a 3d-Printed solution for them on github... I don't know if the Early 1st Series Helvicta # 6 keycap is the same as the more common 2nd Series Helvicata keycap. I'm betting not. It probably has a different depth..but you never know...It might work. ;)
