Need real Ultimem hardware test

Hi folks,

although everything is working with VICE's Ultimem emulation I cannot get the real thing running. I really need to know now if my expansion is bollocksed. Please someone with an Ultimem do me a favour and burn the stuff in the ZIP file attached.

It contains ULTIDUMP which will copy the ROM to a file named DUMP.IMG on your SD2IEC and ULTIBURN which will burn file IMAGE that needs testing. You can then copy DUMP.IMG to IMAGE and burn that back with ULTIBURN (I hope).

To make things go fast I also put ULTICONFIG in the archive. With BLK1-3 disabled but SJ20 left turned on all will go very swiftly.

IF that IMAGE works on your hardware I at least know that I can work on with VICE and forget about the expansion that I have, hoping that there will be new ones available one day.

I flashed Ingle on my spare Ultimem. It works (file navigation, display help, pictures...etc) but it quickly crashes.
Don't know if it is more stable for you with VICE.

It seems unpacked images with UltiBurn are faster to flash than with flash4file.prg

Na. It's really buggy. It's hard to debug C programs with no source in the debugger and the code cc65 emits... hell!
You can safely throw it in the hazardous waste bin. In the end it was my Ultimem's RAM that's broken.
Am screwing up the ROM/RAM filesystem atm. A second whole redesign is on.

ULTIBURN does not wait until the chip settles, because no-one will read from it until the work is done.
