Romik Game Disk

Post by oracle_jedi »

Attached is a D64 disk image with almost all of the Romik games I could find.

I have tried to patch all of the games to be NTSC friendly (or in the case of Pedes & Mutants - PAL friendly) and for multi-part loaders, load from whatever device the last part loaded from.

I owned Space Attack, Martian Raider and Moons of Jupiter back in the day, and I used to love the iconic loading screens with the game name displayed in a super-large font. Where I could find them, I have put back the loading and instruction screens, although they will be very brief if you are using an emulator. On real HW you will get to enjoy the anticipating of "game loading..." for literally seconds before the game starts!

Many of the games were dumped by others and simply collected by me. In some cases I did the dump.

Operation Ganymed is an odd-ball. The loading screen says Atlantis Software, but the menu screen says Romik. My tape copy of the game is by Atlantis, but I have seen the game packaged as a Romik title too.

Again I using nbla0000's great disk-loader menu.

The complete list is:

Alphoids
Atom Smasher
Caterpillar (+3K)
Galaxia
Insector
Martian Raider
Moons of Jupiter (+8K)
Operation Ganymed
Pedes & Mutants
Power Blaster
Quadrant
Sea Invasion
Shark Attack
Space Attack
Space Escort
Space Fortress
Time Destroyers (+8K)
Zorgon's Kingdom (+8K)

Thank you very much for this. The Romik games tend to be overlooked which is a shame because they're great.
