I received a very nice NTSC Vic today along with a VICMODEM. They are both boxed and are in pretty good condition:
I haven't had the nerve to plug the Vic in yet. Does anyone know if I can just use my British PSU with this or do I have to use a step down convertor?
Anyway, I'm thinking of putting a PAL mobo in the case as that's my primary machine and I really like the gold badging on this unit.

Thanks Ian. It's an old two prong model so I'll have to dig out a step down. I've got two of them somewhere I just can't remember exactly where!
That was actually a close call as I had asked the same question over at Lemon and Shem said it was okay to use the British PSU - bad Shem!
Luckily, I always check in with the experts here!
OT @ Ian: I got a mail from you a while back mentioning certain samples you had sent me. I never received them so obviously haven't checked them out. If you still have them around I'd love to hear them...

This week in the mail after a major Ebay spending spree (sadly I lost the Moses cart bid)
- Snooker on cassette tape
- Dr. Watson's Computer Learning Series "Beginninger Assembly Language Programming for the VIC 20" book and cassette set.
- XE1541 connector for the parallel port on my PC
- A PAL VIC with a 220 VAC power unit and round connector plug from Italy. (Very badly yellowed body. I may want to spray-paint it black the way shown by someone else on this forum some time ago.)
- Money Decisions cassette software (not that much different than the programmes I used to make myself in basic for savings and amortisation schedules.)
I want to get a working printer for my VIC (I will also receive a printer interface), but I need to get a brand whose ribbon, cartridge, inkjet or whatever is still easy to find. Suggestions welcome.
And more stuff is on its way.
Went a bit overboard, perhaps.
