Thunderbird's got a bug where you mark a message as not being junk, then you clear the junk folder and the unmarked message is lost anyway. However, if your address is still the same it's all good.vicist wrote:Looking forward to getting a copy.

The NTSC version will be available at the same time as the PAL version. With no noticeable difference in game play. Thought it would take days but just got it done this evening. Updated the demo ZIP file accordingly.

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
Got the hang of the arcade ROM (instead of the NES one) a little bit late and added some more elements that have been a mystery before.
Anyone trying this out with a paddle? Is it too hard to play with the joystick perhaps?
Any suggestions?

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
Tried the latest demo. Very nice, but there was a bug. On first track, I got multiple balls, but maybe I just saw two. When all balls were lost the game just continued so I couldn't continue. Maybe two balls were traveling at exactly the same position or something. I resetted reloaded and played again, there was another bug on one track, the ball went through an undestructable wall once... Otherwise... it's really impressive.

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
Oh yeah. That'll take quite some test code to resolve (when it goes through the wall). The ball movement is a bit more complicated than the original thing. Tried to do it the arcade way but then one gets hopelessly irritated by the VICs low resolution.Boray wrote:Tried the latest demo. Very nice, but there was a bug. Scary, early release date but got the right time window in place where I don't have to care about many other things.

Guess I'm not too well known for delivering vic games on time. 3D cover art is in the making. Am sitting on about 100 self-destroying tapes. Am quite curious about what the manufacturer will reply tomorrow. Guess it took quite some geek to figure out what went wrong... Am a magnetic attraction to f-ups.

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
Always thought 1st September was a tad ambitious, perhaps Christmas..?
Anyway, no worries, just release it when it's ready.

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
This looks excellent, looking forward to it being finished.

Thanks (for your patience)!
Perhaps there's a workaround to it. Am massacring a bunch of the tapes to find out.
