Well... my K-9 has stopped working. I power him up and and get a nasty noise after several seconds.
I tried a different VIC-20. Same results. Probably the speech chip. SX01-8 in the British-made "chatterbox" voice kit made for a Sinclair ZX-81.

I'll play around with it a little more when I get a chance.

I'm still bringing K-9 to the VCFMW on Sunday.
