Not that it really means anything, I like the game no matter what's called, but the game "PENCO" is that the name given in the magazine? It seems I can see the "G" perfectly.

Maybe I'm asking too much, but I'd really like this one to be translated in English :) .

Here's a bugfixed version of HYPRA-SYSTEM for download. That version has also been included on Mega-Cart.

It accelerates both LOAD and SAVE. The speeder only runs on PAL VIC-20s, with a 1541 or 1571.

Working on it!
And done:
http://www.kweepa.com/step/vic20/danger-pyr-en-16k.prg
Hint: use commands MOVE, TAKE, DROP, THROW, LIGHT, INSERT, DRINK, OPEN, CLOSE, CLIMB, JUMP, INVENTORY, SPEAK, SAVE, LOAD, QUIT.
Note that I haven't managed to finish it yet, but I did test the major events. Let me know if something doesn't seem right.
(I added an indication that you can MOVE SOUTH from a room - a break in the ===== at the front of the room graphic.)

There were actually several ones:

- LOAD would only work with drive address #8 (fixed),
- exiting from SAVE wouldn't re-enable interrupts within program mode, locking the keyboard (fixed),
- two SAVEs in a row would fail (fixed by resetting the drive after SAVE).

I also changed the message 'NUR FLOPPY ANSCHALTEN!' into 'SWITCH ON DRIVE ONLY!'; HYPRA-SYSTEM cannot cope with more than one device on the serial bus.

Finally, the original version used self-modifying code. I made these parts static, so HYPRA-SYSTEM could now be burned into an EPROM and use, for example, RAM in one of the I/O areas as sector buffer. That would have made for a nice dedicated HYPRA-SYSTEM cartridge. :)

DANGEROUS PYRAMID - translated in English
Great work!
I added an indication that you can MOVE SOUTH from a room - a break in the ===== at the front of the room graphic.
This addition is really helpful! Has someone tried this, drawn a map, solved it? Sadly, I suck at adventures and would like some hints. There was a great screenshot of a Tarantula done in VIC-characters in the magazine, but I never got to see it in the game...

Yeah, the monster graphics are really nice for VIC characters.
I think the biggest hint is to draw a map.
The goal of the game is to TAKE the mask of the sphinx. To do that you need to INSERT the staff. All obstacles/monsters require you to use an object in some way.

The great thing about the sarcophagus is that it contains infinite mummies. Or at least two, which is one more than you can survive. So, err, don't try to open it twice.

I met the deadly Tarantula! :)
Image
(on my way to mapping and solving it)

...

(EDIT)
Done!

Map and some hints: HERE
Trapdoor #3 leads to the outside, but you cannot go anywhere from there without dying. Trapdoors #1 and 2 are coupled with "^" and "v" if leading upwards and downwards, respectively. Hints about stuff to use or actions to take in each difficult location are in brackets.

Best monster: the Cobra :).

So I guess the translation didn't seem wrong anywhere?
The hardest part was the "SORRY" text when you die, as that used to say "SCHADE" in vic graphics :)
Also coming up with appropriate verbs, since they had to be at least 4 characters.
