My web site has changed

Post by rhurst »

Since my brother's store is closing along with his internet line (and my server there), I felt compelled to move my data off now. Fortunately, I recently switched to FiOS, which has a router that supports DynDNS natively with no port-blocking. I immediately scoffed a free hostname in hurst.homelinux.net.

However, since I still own the name services for my domain and am still waiting for it to transfer out of dotEarth to DynDNS, I am currently re-pointing robert.hurst-ri.us to my residential server (running as a qemu-kvm guest on my workstation) with upgraded Fedora and Wordpress software.

I took some time to update the site's theme and content. And the files section has been organized with some folders and can be found more easily with the site's navigation button, Software. The URL remains the same as http://robert.hurst-ri.us/files, however, the bulk of the VIC 20 links I have posted here are moved into a vic20 subfolder.

Sorry for any confusion and the broken links now scattered throughout the threads here.

I'm new here so I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but I was just reading through "issue26.pdf"

It's a long shot but I thought I'd ask:

LordRonin and MossyCon5's Adventure Construction Set and other created adventures on page 14 - where did they end up collecting the files? Can I access those ACS adventures they made?

Great question, I'm certain other people here would like to know, too. But specifically, no, I am not in possession of them. I would not mind hosting them for others if the chance happens.

If I'm not mistaken, Jim Brain's website is missing in the hardware section.

Thanks rhurst. I'd gladly blog about and host the files on mediafire as well as I'm a big ACS fan.

My searches have led me to believe it never saw the light of day. Their ACUG website is "Last updated on 21 January 2009", and MossyCon 5 was held later that year in April, I believe.

So, you updated it, right? Since it's a community WIKI, right?

FYI, added a Retrocomputing submenu for easier access to my VIC 20 projects for reading, downloading, and playing (using JarVIC).
