More of a programming "tool" question, but just browsing through some old magazines and listings for the C64 and Vic 20 and just had a thought...
Is there any text editor out there which is pretty much the equivalent of Notepad, but with the C64/Vic 20 character set (Including all the extra ASCII characters), in which I can write/edit C64/Vic 20 BASIC code outside of an emulator environment and save files out as .prg files? Or maybe something which is close to this?
I've experimented with OCRing listing scans in the past, but the fixing up afterwards natively on the Vic 20/C64 is a bit cumbersome and a slow process. I know it would take longer to type - but time is so short these days and I was thinking of a potential speed up

There's source code for it too if you need to tweak it.
