Fairly new to the VIC scene

Post by amadama »

Hi guys.
My name is Alex, I'm from Long Island, NY.
I used to be a real hard-core Commodore fan. The first computer I ever used was a PET. My first real computer was a C64 my parents bought for me in October of 1982. Later I moved on to the Amiga 1000 and then 3000. For a long time I did nothing Commodore related. My wife convinced me to throw away a lot of my old stuff (the 1702 and 1080 monitors as well as the Amiga 1000) and my old C64 was stolen. Last year I bought a VIC-20 from ebay and then got hooked on the old Commodores again. I now have the VIC-20, Plus/4 and C16. I'm looking to get a C64 and a C128D if possible too. I just stumbled upon these forums while researching memory upgrade cards for the VIC-20 and I must say I'm glad to be here (found the Lemon64 forums too)!
I just ordered the Mega-Cart and can't wait the three weeks to get it!
Looking forward to interacting with the rest of you!
Alex

Welcome aboard bloke! The Vic's a great machine and it'll constantly surprise you...especially when you get the Mega-Cart (check out the Robotic Liberation demo!). :)

ahh wives...
Yesterday my wife said some not good things about computers and my CBM collection, ok I just burnt a pot, but my CBM collection is too much !!!

I hope to find my PC at home this evening...

Btw to be sure, i've locked my CBM room

I just ordered the Mega-Cart and can't wait the three weeks to get it!
There are people here that waited for over a year, you are a lucky man

Thanks again guys.
I am indeed really looking forward to the Mega-Cart! I've got VICE running on my laptop and put a whole bunch of VIC and 6502 books on it so I can polish up my programming skills.
I really want to try the Sorcery game (loved reading the thread on that game!) on the real VIC so this weekend I may finally use the XA1541 adapter I got!
