Sections 0 thru F of Arma's TAP site are now back online.

I will try to get rest done in next week or so.

There are a few broken links, please be patient until all is online.

Thanks 6502dude, very well done. Maybe you should notify it with a new thread, once all the job is finished. :D

Yes, I will.

I had other activities that kept me busy until around 21:30 last night. This prevented from attending TPUG meeting. I managed to get the Arma site updates done between 21:30 and midnight. I'd like to get this one off my "to-do" list.

It was probably best that you didn't come. You would have been put to work. :)

Did we reach a consensus on this? I'm gonna add it in as "Cobra" :)

I got the game... I believe in one of the random files that Frank sent me a while back.

Intruder Scramble

Post by bcostin »

FWIW, I recognize that first Scramble clone. I had it on tape, one of the last tapes I bought for my Vic-20 back in the day. The version I had was labeled "Intruder Scramble!" I think I still have the tape, and maybe the packaging. If so I'll scan them.

I remember being disappointed with the game for some reason. I'll have to try it in an emulator and see if I feel the same way now. :)

I used to have Scramble, it was really fun, one part reminded me of Tron and the MCP, you had to whittle your way through the moving barrier.

Cant believe these guys are asking $90. Looks like I shouldve hung onto mine!

I had a similar game in form called Caveman. But it was the knock-off Tandy (Radio Shack) version. I also sold it and regretted it. Now it is too expensive on ebay.

Same with me. I had that Scramble tabletop in the late-90s. It was a pretty good adaptation of the game, and with the fresnel lens looked cool. I too sold it for less that I should have...or maybe I should have just held onto it (but then again, I don't really play the three tabletops I have).

Don't know how many battery sets I went through with this game. ;)

But I still exactly remember my highscore in AMAteur mode: 61510 points. As the fuel indicator was used in pauses to signalise 2000 points each, and 17990 was the max. score that could be displayed, that meant 3 wrap-arounds ... and it took roughly 1 hour of uninterrupted play. In PROfi mode I got something like 24xxx points.

It also had one nice glitch: If one switched several times between AMA and PRO during the demo, and then pressed start during the explosion of the station, the game produced either two bombs above the ship, or blinked the ship twice right at the start.

P.S.: Det ... Diddit! One foe less.
