Maplins VIC-20 Voice PCB.

Post by Shaun.Bebbington »

Hello folks,

I've also posted this on comp.sys.cbm, and was wondering if anyone here can help.

I've found a Maplin VIC-20 Voice PCB, and would like to know if anyone has information about it?

It has two 5-pin sockets on it (look like Midi), a 28-pin GI chip and
a "pass-though" 9-pin connector that plugs into the joystick port.

Anyone???

Many thanks,

Shaun.

ahh the old gb17t
it is a maplin speech synth discontinued now using a spo256 made by General Instruments
I built one of these a very long time ago 20 years or so dont have the original but I do have another one along with a photocpy of the instructions
it used to be a kit in one of the maplin magazines

What is it you need to know????
I'll take my cart to go thank you ;)

Thanks folks! I'll demonstrate it at the next Commodore Computer Club (UK) meet in June.

Shaun.

I am still waiting for audio samples of the Vortrax being used with Scott Adams games.
