Anyone fix disk drives in the UK?

No, sorry, maybe a slight miscommunication on my part. The only 5.25" disks I have are C64 disks. They came with a C64 and 1541 I bought on eBay (neither of which worked!). I also have brand new disks from Psytronik. And, yes, I'm running the 128D in 64 mode! :P

Oh I see. Well, the old C64 disks you have could be faulty. But the Psytronik ones should be good. So if you are getting read failures on the latter...then I suspect alignment problems.

You know, I signed up a while ago and check the forums every so often but never thought to ask there. The chances are someone there will have a solution. Thanks for waking this tired, old brain! :)
