Commodore related chip vendor

Post by yoyodyne »

Hey everybody,

Found this site while identifying some Atari 8-bit chip numbers, and
see they have quite a bit of Commodore items, including sid chips,
vic-20 roms, etc.

http://www.arcadecomponents.com/index.html

I have never bought from them, so I can't say that they are ok.
Web site looks nice, though. They have quite a bit in stock, and
prices seem ok, sid is $20, which is in line with ebay.

Has anybody here bought anything from these guys before?
They might be a good source for parts.

The legendary Ray Carlsen of Ethel, Washington, and Jim Scabery (who owned a Commodore and Amiga storefront) of Portland, Oregon also have chips available. Jim's SID chips go for $17 each, not including shipping.

I have a huge assortment of chips (many in quantity) and more than I'll ever need.

Ie:
Static RAMs 2114, 6264, 2016, 6116, 5116 etc
DRAMs 41256, 4464 etc
6821 PIA
6850 Uart
Ay-5-1013 uart

I have well over 5000 chip types.

Feel free to contact me via PM if you are looking for chips.
(sorry no spare SIDs right now).

Maybe someday I'll have time to post a page listing available stuff.

Hey everyone,

Name here is Raymond and Arcadecomponents.com is my site.

If you are looking for oddball parts for the Commodore VIC-20, 64, 1541, etc, just drop me a PM. I have a source for dead machines from a defunct service center.

I'm interested in the chips from these dead machines so if you need power jacks, switches, RF modulators, keyboard parts, etc, just let me know and I'd be happy to send you those things for shipping costs.

I'm slowly putting together a collection of old systems and have a soft spot for very hackable systems like the CoCo, VIC-20, and Timex Sinclair computers.
