Is my VIC sick? Some programs shift the screen area out of the area of the CRT. When the vic boots up all is normal.
Ive been Xfering files via TAPclean to real tapes and loading them on my vic. Some programs do this:
Whats up with this? Is this a PAL game or something? Reset and its all good again...
Is my Vic sick?
....My file transfer system isnt the most reliable to maybe its coming from that..

Certainly looks like a PAL screen layout.

I'm curious which programs or games you try to run that default to PAL positioning. In any case it is a major PITA, probably the result of engineers improving the overall design while creating the 6561 PAL chip.
