Long lost Atari game found

Post by ral-clan »

Here's a story about a guy who just found some EPROMs at a flea market containing some never before released Atari 2600 games:

I wish we could find something like this for the VIC-20. It makes me think of RobertBe's post on Denial lat last year. The one where he actually TALKED to a woman who used to work for Imagic and said she had a copy of an unreleased Imagic game for the VIC (unfortunately, I don't think Robert got her contact info and we've never heard from her).

The closest I got to this was finding an EPROM burn of Squish 'Em for the VIC which I send to Ward Shrake for archiving in around 1999 (it was previously thought to be vapour-ware). I think my chip is the source of the ROM dump found on Zimmers and elsewhere now (I am not sure if there were any actual copies of this cartridge ever found).

When I think about that Imagic cart, I have to sigh a little. I hope we hear from her one day. :(
