Ive seen this item before in magazines and the odd time on ebay over the last 10 years but most times it was for the c64 I believe. Thanks for the heads up on this.

Well this is weird. I just got an email from ebay saying they cancelled this sellers auctions. Heres the note

The following is a notice from eBay Trust & Safety regarding:

Item Title - Vic 20 Vintage Voice Synthesizer ComVoice RARE chiptune

Our records show that you were a bidder or buyer of one or more of this seller's items. We recently removed this seller's active listings and suspended the seller's trading privileges. Due to privacy concerns we cannot share further details about this seller.

I wonder what he did? ah well, Maybe ebay actually kept me from losing $50.

I cant seem to save ebay pages anymore. At least not with the "save page as" function in IE anyway. Unfortunately. I cant remmember the sellers name or feedback rating although Im sure it wasnt bad.

Stupid thought: it is not the use of "chiptune" that worries eBay? I think word is used by car trimmers who reprogram the engine computer to give more horsepower for the price of easier breaking or worse grip. I don't know, but perhaps such kits to (in some places illegally) trim your car could belong to prohibited items, and eBay doesn't bother exactly what the auction says as long as the prohibited word is included?

oh gees, maybe thats it. I had no idea what chiptune implied. I thought maybe it was a program from back in the day I didnt know about. Funny thing to is that the letter from ebay said the sellers account was suspended but he was back selling under the same handle in less than an hour. Who knows

Well now I know. I emailed the seller and he said that there was a mistake on his billing info so they cancelled all his auctions. Anyways I went and bought the cartridge. Merry xmas to me!
