Here is my second entry for this contest. An educational game in
just 16 lines of basic. The object of this game is to press the
keys that are shown on the screen. When you have pressed the
correct key, that letter will dissapear from the line. New letters
appear all the time at a speed that is increasing all the time. You
get one point for every letter you press away. If you press a key
that isn't on the screen, then you will get -2 points and one
extra letter will appear. When you can't keep up and the whole
line is full of letters, then the game is over. It doesn't matter in
what order you press the keys. If it for example says "UKUPFD",
then you can just as well press UUKPDF if you like...

Maybe another vic program suitable for Chris' daughter? ;)

Added note: I now see that there is an entry called "Letter Attack". I didn't recall that and I haven't tried it as there was no file for it, so if I have copied your idea in any way, then sorry!

i have not tried it yet, actually.

i am waiting for my daughter, Zoe, to get back.

her mom has her for the next two weeks, since her mom has some vacation time, and they can hang out for a long stretch.

going to be a weird couple of weeks for me, as i am used to having Zoe around.

This kind of program may or may not be a good way to learn an alternative keymap. It would however require the keyboard to be reconfigured as well as the ROM decoding. To make it even more challenging, the letters could be printed in background colour and only flash from time to time, so you didn't see what you're supposed to type.

Hallo Anders,
i have not yet tried Typer, Letter Attack is some kind of mixture between a typing game and space-invaders.

I am sorry, that there is no downloadable version yet, I will fix that soon.

Have Fun,
