Not Vic related but...

Post by videogamefreak »

hey guys, i was wondering if any of you had or have a Nintendo NES that comes on but the white static stuff on the tv just stays on the screen. the nes doesn't do anything but come on?

p.s. it has been knocked off the tv into the floor before.

My first guess would be a bad R/F modulator. That's easy enough to rule out; either test the Nintendo one on a known working system, or test out a known working R/F modulator on this Nintendo.

or just use the VIDEO/AUDIO outputs on the side of the NES and bypass the RF modulator altogether.
