Damn I was hoping no one would notice this. I am currently asking the seller to ship to me and was planning on bidding to win.

I already have one, it has box and cartridge pcb, but no cartridge covers. Course guy who had it before me had cartridge installed inside Vic20.. and other carts there too. :D

"using the supplied slot adaptor"

The required bus signals are available in the module port. The picture shows an adapter from VIC20's 3.6mm-> C64's 2.54mm card edge connection. This handles the physical conversion.

Hi Albert.

Physical conversion/adapter is not so amazing.. But how Vic20 cartridge/software can run at C64? Is there any other softwares that run both machines? I know that simple basic softwares run ofcourse, but..

Is the software built into the cartridge, or do you have to load it from disk/tape?

I could see how it would work if all the cartridge does is "expose" the speech chip registers to a series of registers on IO1 or IO2. Then it would easily work on both C64 and VIC20.

If the software can run from cartridge on either system though, that's a lot more impressive.

When you press keys, it says letters/numbers. You can turn it on/off, from F1-F8 (If i remember correct). And write simple programs that speak. I havent find any extra commands.

It might work with programs like this:

10 s$="h/e/l/l/o"
20 sys41000

Wow, you're on a roll lately. I saw that you won the CMD HD too. Good job! I love it when cool items go to members of the community.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

I've seen a hi-res photo of the slot adaptor (which allows one to use this on a C64). It is indeed just a "pin-density" convertor. So I guess that this cartridge actually contains to "software" but it just a bunch of electronics that either a VIC or C64 can access via lines, and software loaded from disk or tape. I think the picture was on Jogi's site.
