The only way I came up with was to buy a PAL VIC chip, oscillator etc and then convert an NTSC one. The only other way to avoid the eye-watering shipping costs is to build your own from a Vicky 20 board, but though that’s a great project, it’s not exactly cheap, and still requires importing the board and PAL VIC.

They do come up on US ebay with some regularity. Usually people abroad who will ship internationally, but sometimes sellers within the US. Set up a saved search on ebay, and you'll get hits now and then.

I have a working PAL VIC-20 motherboard (no case or keyboard) for sale with its hard to find power supply if anyone cares.. Just PM me if interested.. or offer me a good trade!
