Had to eat some humble pie - stuck on room 7! But I won't resort to the guides just yet.
My gamepad proved completely worthless for this kind of game, so I went back to keyboard controls in Vice. Wish I could play it with a real digital joystick, I bet the ladders (especially jumps from ladders - and accidental jumps from ladders :x ) would give me less problems then.

Brilliantly addictive game in any case. Infuriatingly frustrating at times, but thankfully the restart time is non-existent and the levels very short and quick. Imagine this as 3-lives-and-back-to-level-1-game or - even worse - a multi load, level for level

Room 12 is driving me crazy...
9,10 & 11 were not so bad but room 8 was also very tough.
And there are 24 further levels

You can blame my son for #12. Very evil. But promise you, every one is doable. We wanted to design the rooms so that there would be some challenging ones mixed in with others to give a breather between them. And that you can jump between the three experiments at any time, if one is proving frustrating there are two other rooms you can tackle.

However, I warn you room #12 on each experiment is a challenge ... to complete the game you've got to work at it :)

Oh, I almost forgot that I could try out room 13 and 25. I think I will do that while my subconsciousness deals with your son's evilness and I can go back and fight it with a fresh and pure mind

Here is a re-packaged *.d64 that contains a crunched/exomized version of Cheesy Trials, with Echo added as splash screen that displays while the game is being loaded:

That's amazing Mike, thanks for putting that together! I'll drop you a question or two on PM if that's ok?

This is arriving at a superb time as the Retro Games Ltd website that host the file appears to have lost the page and the files, so I need to set up an official download on my web site / itch page. I'd been struggling with exomizer - I can either get the game to compress and load on its own, or with a simple loader I could get my loading screen and each of the four blocks without compression, but not both :(

Seriously, what's the point in this?

With your version, people still need to look at a drab "LOADING..." caption while most of the payload arrives. Not everything needs to be one-filed.

Hello

1file version of my fetish.
If I press SHIFT / COMMODORE during load,
the image falls apart.

So I look at a picture for as long as I want.
I can stop the emulator on a picture to look at it.

-I really like the "mouse" picture, congratulations.

Miklós, I am curious about your reaction when someone else takes any of your original work and then deforms it.
