Hi all
I'm about to start a small side project looking into the industrial uses of 8bit kit.
Back in the day I worked in process control for a polymer manufacturer and we have BBC Electrons and Dragon32s that were hooked up to the injection moulding equipment. Both had been modded interally for data collection (To be honest, I wasn't much interested at the time as it was my job to write the software). Essentially both had analogue / digitial sensors attached to the equivalent of user ports and I peeked about in memory to capture the incoming data. I occasionally poked things back to control things like temperature etc etc. All written in BASIC.
Now at 49, I want to try and curate examples of 8bit kit used for those purposes.
Any one here got a Vic20 that has been modded / used in such a manner -- OR an interesting use case from BITD?
Cheers
G

There was a thread on Discord a while ago with a modified PET used by a German kiln

Exactly that --- contacted the seller to see what it was used for....srowe wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 12:24 am This looks industrial
