Sorry to hear he passed away.
I hope to continue using his 65xx! His processor was the basis for my learning about computers, and the work I do nowadays.

Wow. I hopped on denial to scratch a little social itch on this cold winter evening and this was what I found first :(
To say the 6502 was a huge part of my life would be an understatement. I regard these larger than life heroes of the personal computer revolution that I was so amazingly lucky to have grown up in as giants! I'm sad to hear this, but it's inevitable as an earlier poster said. Eventually we'll be all that's left of the stories of this time, I wonder if the next generation will care at all about the glorious days of the 8 bit personal computer, or if these processors will just die out, not even so much as listed in a catalog anymore.

RIP Chuck.

It's been a week now, I really missed this.

RIP. He won't be forgotten. His legacy lives in today's information technology, as well as in the whole retrocomputing world.

Let's all think he had a long and happy life, accomplished all his goals, and left a strong example for future electronic engineers.

That is really sad news.
Peddle is one of the most important, yet overlooked, figures in personal computer history.
Will be missed.

The scars never really heal, grief stays forever but we can cope with it. The world today is full of death and pain but we can take heart knowing that the dead will be reunited with us eventually. I will quote no scripture for this, as i want to remain compliant with the site rules but i know that his soul is in a better place, Heavens CES expo. RIP chuck, we'll miss you :(
