Dungeons of Kal

Post by ambradley »

I got this game on cassette with an early VIC-20 that I bought a while ago and couldn't find it online anywhere, so here it is in all its glory - Dungeons of Kal by Peter Russo, released in 1982 by P.R. Software.

Thank you for sharing this. These types of games were usually advertised in the classified section of computer magazines in the early 1980s. I always wondered how they were like. RPG games are very underrepresented on the VIC-20.

For anyone who wants the cassette and paperwork, I listed it on eBay with a reasonable starting bid. May be redundant now that I've posted the game online, but I figure there might be collectors who value the original.

Does the the E key actually work to escape? It didn't seem to do anything for me, holding it or pounding it repeatedly.

EDIT: If I'm reading the source correctly, it will only work on a 2% chance until you have increased your wisdom.
