Hi, there is an arduino (ATmega32u4) mounted inside the case running code that translates key strokes into USB key codes. It is mounted using the motherboard screws and existing holes, meaning that it could easily be removed at any time. I was not aware of the Keyrah but from that link it looks as though this functions in a similar manner, although without joystick support. It is a regular VIC keyboard
