If you look at this thread about HES Forth:
http://forum.6502.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4924
You will see the OP was looking for a copy/ROM dump of HES Forth for the VIC-20. After it was found, I mentioned that I could upload it here or at least find where it should be archived.
Anyway, it's attached for those that are interested. Is there somewhere I could upload that would be better?
Thanks.

Re: HES Forth -- Where to host?
It is best to host the files here, external links tend to disappear.
Kind regards, Peter.

Sounds good to me.
I'll also checkout archive.org too. I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner.
Thanks

Re: HES Forth -- Where to host?
Uploading a copy to ftp://ftp.zimmers.net/pub/cbm is not a bad idea either.
At least that's the place I most often refer to when looking for archived cartridge ROMs or the like.
Posting a find like yours as attachment in a 'standard' thread makes that thread disappear to the following index pages over time in due course. Pinning it is no solution either, as then other software quite as well 'deserves' to be pinned. The latter which somehow defies the purpose.

Re: HES Forth -- Where to host?
Stupid question...
Where would I get an account to upload there? Anon doesn't seem to work (other than browser).

'Anonymous' command line ftp usually takes 'ftp' as user name and as password either your full or abbreviated ("username@") e-mail address.

OK, I could have sworn I was doing that but I must have fat-fingered something.
Thanks.

O.K. - if it still doesn't work upon your next attempt(s), an e-mail inquiry to bo should probably be in order.

Re: HES Forth -- Where to host?
Just uploaded. Says it was successful but I don't see the file in the incoming folder. I assume it's masked until it's been approved.
Thanks!
Thanks!
