Hey all,
tl;dr: Long shot, but does anyone have a replacement '£' key and plunger they'd be willing to sell in the UK?
Story:
I'm pretty new to the VIC 20 and I'm trying to restore the one I have.
The keyboard was somewhat dodgy, key presses wouldn't always register and the £ key was missing and the plunger damaged.
I've completely taken the keyboard apart to clean the contacts etc, which involved cutting the connections to one key, I'll need to solder that back.
I'm hoping that will fix the issues with key presses not registering.
However I've utterly failed to find a replacement key and plunger at a fair price so far.
I don't really want to buy a whole working keyboard or VIC 20 as that seems a shame.
I'd be either breaking down a good unit needlessly or just replacing my family's unit, neither sit well.

You'll need to mention which of the three keyboard types you have, PET, Eurostile and the one I can't remember.
Re: Wanted - £ key in UK
Thanks for the reply srowe! I wasn't aware there were different keyboards!
Are they largely compatible? i.e. Will a key and plunger from one style fit the others?
Are the differences just what's printed on the keys or the shape of the top of the keys?
(I probably should be able to Google for this information, but not really finding any definitive resources)
While I don't know off hand which I have, I probably shouldn't be overly fussy at this stage either
Hence if any key-plunger pair is functionality compatible I'd be more than willing to live with a look and feel difference.

PET, Eurostile, the other one
I think the PET style uses different plungers than the other two.

It looks like I have a yellowed "the other one" style keyboard?
The keys seems more dark brown than black, which I guess would make a black "Eurostyle" key look a little silly.
That being said I'd accept any replacement which actually fits my existing keyboard regardless of aesthetics at this stage.
