i have just got a vic20 pal version(made in 1983 i think) with a 3k-16k switchable ram expander. this is my first vic20, usually i get my retro fix from the c64 but there is nothing wrong in expanding the retro intresset a bit. so after i heard alot of good things for this forum, i joined and here i am :)

Must be nice to finally have the original and not just the deluxe version (=c64) Are you the same d0c as on "datorernas folkvagn" forum?

I just witnessed the delivery of a boxed VIC-20 from the trunk of a car, on a dark parking lot outside McDonalds. 8)

(I was neither the buyer nor seller)

From this we learn that VIC-20 bargains are best resolved in a dark parking lot.

Welcome!

As for retro fix, here are some of the features on my C64: (picture here)

-20GB HD
-52X CDROM
-10Mbps Network
-576K RAM
-Serial port up to 230Kbps

So that's not very retro any more, is it? So I go back to the good old VIC when I really want the retro experience 8)
