Setting up Peripherals in Vice 3.0

I've been using Vice 2.4 for a while now and recently moved to Vice 3.0. In 2.4 I had my drives set up as such; Drive 8 was a normal 1541 and drive 9 was an IEC device pointing to a folder. I could load disks with drive 8 and drive 9 was to store and fetch data files. I can't seem to reproduce this in 3.0. Any help would be appreciated.
