PET Wifi Modem

Post by ral-clan »

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Paul Rickards so I can ask about the Wifi Modem he is making for the PET computer?
He has a few Twitter threads about it, but no web-site or e-mail link I can find.

Maybe it's too early and it's not a product yet.

How different is the PET user port to VIC-20? I wonder if the WiModem would work or if it needs some pins changed around to work on the PET ...

I am definitely not an expert, but I think it's slightly different --- like it doesn't have the power lines.....or does not emulate a proper RS232 port like the home 8-bits.

I asked this question a while ago on Amiga.org and it got answered:

Also, I think a lot of PET terminal programs might not know how to use a USER PORT modem.
