C64 Kerberos MIDI problem

Post by traymond20 »

Hi,
I have a C64 Kerberos MIDI cartridge the german Sequencer and Tracker have an issue
I have used the setup menus and selected the Nameco (may be wrong) emulated interface, selected all MIDI channels, etc.
When I press any of the MIDI keyboard keys do not produce any sound.

I have tried reflashing NAMECO emulated interface and C64 Tracker, I also included instruments and sample Midi songs.
The instruments load and the sample songs I can hear just fine, still no sound from Midi kb keys?
Im using Kerberos cartridge on a C64C Rev-E
I was looking in the Kerberos gethub noticed an earlier bug with C64C Rev-E some timing issue?
Was this bug totally fixed, the Author didnt mention this issue! :(

I will try on my working breadbin 64 and c128DCR see if this works.

Beings Kerberos was built in Germany that uses Pal would this affect NTSC C64's?

I have exhausted everything outlined in the Kerberos PDF's and out of ideas at this point to make this unit work,
except what I found in the github listed above?

You might have more success getting an answer to your enquiry if you had put this question into a forum that does focus more on the C64, like - for example - Lemon64.

For Denial, your OP is at least slightly misplaced - for non VIC-20 related questions, there's the section "Other Systems". Could a mod please move thread to there (and without leaving an anchor here - a PM to traymond20 should suffice)?

or even try forum64 (its german, but english posts are ok) - which the creator of that cartridge is reading

(i doubt its pal/ntsc related, the uart has its own crystal on the board)
I'm just a Software Guy who has no Idea how the Hardware works. Don't listen to me.

Hi yeah I hadn't posted to Lemon64 for awhile so if youre inactive it seems they either cancel youre account or just disable, gee.

So will do that then I would have thought a 64 question would be allowed. :(

"Allowed" for sure, but you will most likely have more success on C64-specifc-forums where more C64-folks see your question.
