I dunno, the Atari 2600 crowd is still finding new stuff too, and some of it is pretty bizarre!
Yes, but we can come up with stuff other than games! :D

Okay, I ought to qualify that...stuff that's actually useful and other than games.

(I still love the 2600, but it ain't no Vic!)

Synthcart isn't a game, and useful (to musicians) :) But yeah, obviously the 2600 isn't as versatile as the VIC-20.

As posted earlier, the VIC has even been part of space research (or something like that). I doubt the 2600 can claim to have featured in similar conditions. Of course Commodore in their commercials pushed on the fact that VIC-20 was more than a video game.

Hi Schlowski, sorry to bring up an old thread. I found a copy of Simplicalc over the net, but can't understand how it works.
Could you please scan the manual for us people bored of Excel?

I see some problems here:

1. I have no access to a scanner
2. I fear the manual would not survive a scan as its pages are glued together - its already loosening its pages
3. It's all german!

As a starter, maybe I can make some fotos of the manual pages so at least we have some sort of electronical preservation of the manual.[/url]

This is a problem, indeed. Didn't know it was localized in other European languages.

Thanks. I think it deserves a place in VIC's history.
