Unusual set of carts

Post by srowe »

Just picked up some interesting cartridges off eBay. I did ask the seller for info on them but they were part of a job lot and they didn't know anything more.

The first has a pair of 4K EPROMs containing "The Sky is Falling". The labels make me think this could be a prototype, "A Visual History" mentions that the game was advertised as "Avaranch" in Japan.

This one has a pair of 8K EPROMs on daughterboards. The boards have a part number (1001048), has anyone seen these before? The EPROMs contain the Commodore Pinball game.

This unpopulated board seems to have 3K RAM and the two sockets wired to BLK2 and BLK3.

Finally, an 8K cartridge with four 2K EPROMs. The DIP switches are set to $2000, there seems to be contents on some of them I need to dump them to examine them properly.

They really look like rough early prototypes of widespread games. Should they be confirmed so, I guess you bought some rare gems!
