Looks like I was vaguely mistaken, I had Big Bad Wolf and Treasures of the Bat Cave in GB20, as they were Bruce Robinson games (through Victory Software). Don't have Crawler I believe.

The CES series is about a lot more than just Maths.

See this thread:

There are albums about physics, history, chemistry, etc...

I have almost all of them.

I searched for them all in GB20 and TOSEC... I still don't find Treasures of the Bat Cave. Does it have a different name? I have v02.

I probably skipped Big Bad Wolf because I wasn't sure that it was the same game.
About BBW:
1) they have different copyright notice, Commodore / Bruce Robinson
2) the version on GB20 works only with an 8KB expansion (even if it isn't really needed?)
3) TOSEC has two Bruce Robinson versions, for the unexpanded VIC and for 8K

There are "Crawler" and "Night Crawler" in GB20: they're both Centipede clones, but not the same game as the one sold by Commodore.

I just meant to say that it could be "Computer Educator System", but also "Commodore Educator Series" :-)

Should in v0.3 of the database, so you'll need to update ;)

Yes, of course.

It also served as a reminder to me that I should whip myself and get more of them online.

I have been through a bunch of time consuming stuff lately and simply lost sight of this important project.

I am very happy to see other people invest time and energy in a related project.

BTW, Commodore Educator Series is indeed the correct meaning of the CES acronym.

Commodore international companies sold additional software, often programmed by local developers.
I chose Commodore USA "official" 6 packs as a bonus content; tracking every software on tape sold by Commodore Canada, UK, Germany (just to name a few that I'm sure had some local software) was beyond the scope of the book.

About Math Book I with code VT-108... maybe Commodore Canada realized its mistake, since Math Book II was published as CES-109 and Math Book III as CES-110 - the "C" in "CES" probably stands for "Canada". Or the other way round: the last 6 pack published in USA was VT 107, then Canada published VT 108... then Commodore USA published the last 6 Pack as VT 108 :-)
Early on, Commodore Canada went all out with the marketing and packaging quality of the CES packs. Later in the product cycle, I remember these kinds of things going to much cheaper cardboard packaging and even seeing the cassettes being broken up into SINGLE type cardboard packaging.

Here is a shot of my CES collection (English). I am only short Math II & III

I remember in 1998 when I was working on Queen Street in Toronto, Active Surplus (electronic surplus parts retailer) had a box about waist high and about 1 metre by 1 metre in size full of random cassettes from the Educator Series. They were selling them as cassettes you could buy and record over, but of course they probably still had data on them. No cases, just the loose cassettes in a big pile.

Likely they had come from the Commodore warehouse on Pharmacy Avenue after the liquidation in 1994.

I used to love Active Surplus. I didn't arrive in Toronto until 1998 though.

If any of you kind sirs could possibly dump the French Educational Series for the VIC-20, I'd be grateful.
Thanks (hopefully, this isn't a thread hijack lol).

It's not a thread hijack, it's just the wrong thread.
