Board assembly number 1001006 with revised heatsink

Post by oldcomputr »

Hi all,
I am looking for someone who can lend me a motherboard with assembly number 1001006 rev. E, but with the revised heatsink.
I live in Italy, so let's say Europe is OK - I will cover shipping costs back and forth.

Early 1001006 boards had a heatsink that acted as a guide for the cartridge port and since it became very hot, one of the first changes to the board layout was to separate the heatsink from the cartridge port guide.

I have a VIC 1001 and a Japan made VIC 20 with the 1001006 board, but both have the original heatsink.

The revised heatsink is seen here and here.

If someone knows who is the owner of myoldcomputer.nl (whois doesn't help), please send me a pm. I have contacted him through the Contacts page but got no answer.

Thanks!
