VIC-20 archival news & advertisements

Post by ral-clan »

Hi,

I've been perusing the Google archival newspaper scans and filtering them for the word "VIC-20".
Some pretty neat advertisements come up from Canada, Australian, UK and US newspapers. I'm Canadian so remember stores like Simpsons and Eatons, and Canadian Tire is represented there too with deals on the Commodore educational packs:

Incredible price differences. 299$ in one add and 69$ in another. 3 years apart.

Seems about right. The C64 was $595 on launch in the US, and down to $149 three years later.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...
