The Jack-intosh?

Post by Jeff-20 »

Here's a news update from the Computer Chronicles. Looking back, it's interesting to discuss which parts were intentional lies.

Nothing wrong with the Jack-intosh (one of my favourite machines). It got the title because of its ability to read Mac and MS-DOS disks (a PC-friendly feature that still proves useful to this day).

The ST was also a big hit with musicians because of its built-in MIDI interface.

I think Paul Schindler was partly right in his prediction for the future of the computer industry (23:21) but it was the PC clones that beat IBM (not Atari) and if Steve Jobs hadn't saved Apple in the late 90s they would have gone under as well.
