I wonder if this fellow is also registered here on Denial.Long lost first VIC20 ‘84 game found.
An old friend @EkkiMorgenstern found a tape of the first game I made in 1984. It took a while to read it and put it on modern computers so it could run on an emulator. Seeing this game again now means a lot to me.
It’s gameplaywise basicly a bow to moonpatrol and a nod to other gems from back then. It is funny that the game is some kind of fan art because if features many known characters from games from this era, that’s why I attached the flyer which I kept and read like a bible back then.

My friend did a routine which loaded a screen (the black title screeN9 before the maingame on the tape which was special back then. He also did the sprite editor and the machine code scrolling routine. I did the game coding (I guess) and all 15! levels.

You jump with up and start the level with fire.
Before every run you need to listen to the music which takes longer than the run itself. And when you die you have to wait for the tow truck to pick you up. Argh.
It is much more fun to play at 200% speed in vice.
Warning, it’s not a great game - it’s a first game.
