Jelly Monsters > Cosmic Cruncher?

Post by ridgerunner »

As a follow up to my Hal labs post, I also read somewhere(can't remember where) that Cosmic Cruncher is a re-programme of Pac Man/Jelly Monsters to avoid copyright infringement. Is this correct? I have obtained a Cosmic Cruncher but haven't managed to lay my hands on a Jelly Monsters yet to compare.

Best regards,
Chris

I don't think anyone has come forward to say yes for sure, but it's highly likely that was the case.

I think that's the generally accepted theory. I think Rick Melnick (sp?) might have said something about this.

Same thing had to be done with Radar Ratrace (which was Rally-X).

I believe Rally-X turned into Radar Rat Race because of the issues with Jelly Monsters, but it might have been too close to tell the difference time wise. Certainly RRR never got any legal action against it.
