I'm testing things between 2 computers. I've marked dozens of favorites for my personal interest, but also to keep track of how many games I've tested.

How do I transfer my favorites from one computer to another?

I can never recall. It's a function of the interface to set favourites, not the database itself, so not something I can remember offhand. You might have to ask James Burrows, who makes the Gamebase frontend.

Hi Mayhem,

Nice work - I tested on Windows 8 on a Samsung ATIV, Intel Atom processor.

Seems to work fine.

Some missing screenshots but I saw your note on this.

I found some missing games : Stack Light Rifle collection had 3 games. I know they won't work in the emulator for now but should maybe be added to the archive. They were available here. If you don't have them let me know and I will look out my backup copy.

Yeah, I suspect I didn't add them as there's no way to play them in emulation currently. I don't think I have them, so maybe I'll get them for archiving anyhow.

Please try Berzerk MMX+

There is supposed to be speech but I cannot hear it.

Is this a problem with the emulator or has the MMX version been duplicated in the database?

Tried MMX+, speech is definitely working. You do need the volume up quite high to hear it properly. What version of Vice you running?

version 2.4 from your zip I think , could be the poor speakers on my laptop or maybe there is a noise channel setting in vice?

I will check later with headphones. Thanks.

Tape-file of 3D Maze (1984)(Mastertronic) seems to be corrupt. (loading error, can't run the game when using unexpanded)
When setting the memory to 3k, i get to title screen, but then the game failed...

If in doubt, run it against Vice 1.22 first in these situations. I just tried it and it does load on 1.22.

Vice 2.x tightened up the TAP quality levels in regards to errors and distortion, and a bunch of TAPs that loaded fine in 1.22 suddenly don't work in 2.x. This happens to be another one, so if someone can oblige and redump the tape, then I'll swap it out.

Really? Hmmm... either way, a redump is still the first way forwards. The game is definitely unexpanded, I have the Galactic Software version somewhere I believe.

(which is essentially the same because it's the company the Darling brothers ran before licensing stuff to Mastertronic, and then went onto form Codemasters)

meaning the game works well in VICE v2.1 using unexpanded

another question :
The Game Alien Panic by Nüfekop
Are you sure it's from 1981 ? ' cause titlesreen says 1984

Edit :
another one : Tape file of Alpha Blaster (1983)(Sumlock) works only in VICE v1.22

I have 3D Maze myself, having checked my collection, so I can try to redump that here. Someone else will have to redump Alpha Blaster as I don't own it (Bo?).

Alien Panic was 1981 according to Scott Elder. I can only presume it was a v2 of the game or similar he sent me.
