"NEW" Games on old Tapes

Post by Vicman *1970 »

Hi Guy's

i found several games on some old VIC20-Tapes (got them from Ebay months ago)

There are some games, that i can't find in the TOSEC-SET or on Mayhem's GB v0.2 :

in example : (de = german language)
- Mondladung (de)
- Blockade (Kavan)(de)
- Breakout (Holger Schön)(de)
- Apfeldieb (de)
- VIC Kong : little different to the gb20 - version
- Race (game in two loading-parts)(de)
- Fallschirmspringer (de)
- Feuer (it's the game "burning building" , but it is in german)
- Nuklear Power
- Galaxy (de)
- Fruit Fly
- Cask Jumper (two loading parts)

i will post some screenshots soon.....

here's a short video-clip i've made from "Blockade (Kavan)(de)"
Maybe it's the game "Blocked" by Kavan ?

does someone else have this games on tape or maybe already converted to PC (prg) ?

Does someone already dumped some of this games ?
Which games need to be transfered/dumped ?

The problem is, i don't know how to do this......
Maybe you can make it......Mayhem or Tokra ?

I will copy the games via C2N to another Tape and can send it to you...

another solution
I will get soon the Final Expansion FE3......so, can FE3 do the job ?

Awesome find!
The brick graphic in CASK JUMPER makes me very nostalgic.

Blockade could be Blocked... either way, I don't have anything in GB20 that's on the tape afaik, so all of them will be in need of transferring.

Can "Blockade" be found on the net somewhere? I'm trying to find all games by Kavan (Hubers). I've found Bonzo, Pit and Shifty. Pit and Shifty are two of my favourite games. Bonzo is cool too.

Neat! Nuclear Power Station and Burning Building are ports of PET games. I didn't know "original" (i.e. 1980s) ports had existed for the VIC-20 and a few years ago someon on Denial did modern ports of these on the Green & Black PET games to VIC disks.

Would be nice to get the original 1980s ports!

orion70 did them. ;)

Some of the games (Cask Jumper, Race) were published in the German computer magazine "CPU". This mag also had been the source of quite a few games I re-released in my type-in collection, but many of them still are not available in digital form (tokra? ;)).

I played an English version of burning building in 1983. I can`t remember what it was called though...
Nice to see a screen capture after all these years!
