Time Lost - Restoration Project (Story + 6 Type-ins)

Post by robinsonmason »

Picked this up at auction recently, got it in the mail today. I assume no one has this already? Note in my scanned sample images in the slideshow there was a tape you could send away for to get all of the type ins:

http://img293.imageshack.us/slideshow/w ... 2045pm.jpg

It's part fiction, part comic book, with several type ins that tie in to / follow the story.

If I scan the entire book in (text will go in as PDF, of course, so you can cut & paste), would any of you guys be willing to take the type ins and "restore" them into a single image (as if we still had the original mail-in-order tape) for use in an emulator? Would also be great if the text intro for each type in could be integrated into game intros...!

I dunno but maybe my new PetCat-feature - replacement of {CLR} etc. against real control codes - may come in handy? If needed you can edit PetCat-Token.txt and replace any {something} to control-codes as needed...

I'll type in a program or two depending on the length of course! :)

I love things like this. I really like the mixing of media and old computer games can do it well.

I only got to scan in a handful of pages so far - I've scanned in the Intro and one of the type ins. I'll scan in the corresponding comic book chapter tomorrow and another type in.

1. Intro

Wow! Thanks Orion! Now I'm really on the hook to put up the rest of them and the corresponding comic. Will do so when I get home tonight.

BTW, that's a hard game! :)

I am worried I typed this in correctly, because it's terrible!

You can play it with the inline vic, but it has sound that helps the gameplay somewhat.

 Thanks kweepa! I got the hang of the hint-sounds - I could play it for hours! (well, not really) So bad that they're good like a B movie I hope...?

My scans for tonight:

1. The Pitdemons COMIC:

http://www.mediafire.com/?g2m2jzombvo

2. The Pitdemons TYPE-IN:

http://www.mediafire.com/?anltzizvmni

The binding on my book is coming apart due to the scanning. So if you notice odd alignment of the images, that's why.
