One disk game? Title, please :D
Volcano Blast by ALA Software. No idea if they released any of their other games on disk, it's the only one I've come across.
Just yesterday (in my collection of VIC-20 images) I came across a picture of a HES game package which said the game was included on both disk and cassette. I'll try and post the image here. I'll also have to double check that it wasn't a scan of a C64 box...

btw: I plan on expanding the vic20tapes.org site to include pictures and more information about the games.
The problem is getting the time to do it all.
I will of-course also contribute to the wiki.

If you want to help, you may continue the work I started by listing all the tapes from vic20tapes.org in the wiki.
Then I plan on adding all the tapes I dont own and then cross check with gb20.
We should also distinguish between commercial and type-in programs.
oh and add product numbers to the titles that have those letters/numbers.
I think this would be a good start.
We may also do the disk releases.

We also need to handle the distributor/publisher issue.
Some games were released by different distributors/publishers in the US and Europe. I think we should link those games to the same game title page.

If you guys are going to make a big list of tape games for the WIKI, could you also include product/part number, as well as publisher and game title?

Take a look at the big list of cartridges - that's a nice layout somebody did:

http://sleepingelephant.com/denial/wiki ... Cartridges

The great thing about that list is that you can click on the game title to find more info about the game, or the publisher name to find out more about the publisher (although only a few links have been added so far - you can see the potential).

It isn't present much in this version of GB20 but what I do plan for v0.3 is to have separate linked entries for such matters. Hence if people source TAPs for example from each release then they can be kept separate.

eg. some Nufekop games were also released in the UK by Rabbit AND Bubble Bus... so a few games may get three entries. Each TAP is technically a new file; different loader, different loading screen maybe etc.

Yes, that is why I buy every release of a game.

Found it! It is indeed a VIC-20 game released on both disk and tape. Interesting that they chose to release it in BOTH media formats. I have never seen a binary dump of this game....does anyone have it? Here is a picture (I hope it is showing up - I'm trying a new free image hosting service):

If that doesn't work then:

Is this merely a programming tool, or are there game(s) included? GB20 would only list the latter of course...

Haaa man, I remember I had that COCO2 thing when I was a kid.

I bought it in the summer of 1985 from some computer store liquidating all his VIC stuff along with Practicalc.

I don't even remember if I used it or not.
Be normal.
