6560-101

Post by Radical Brad »

Anyone seen a recent and legit source for 6560-101 replacements?
If so, what is the approximate going rate these days?

By legit, I mean not some Chinese source where they have little old ladies hand painting the numbers over sanded down Z80 chips!

Thanks,
Brad

I ordered 2 from these people (and so did others on this board) about 6 months ago when they were only $12 and they were authentic and work fine. They are listed as refurbished and had tinned pins but were not re-marks.

The 6561-101s I ordered from AliExpress have arrived, they appear rather "new" having a matt finish and being marked "KOREA" rather than the smooth finish of the "HONG KONG" chips I've seen before. All chips is the batch work, I'll soak test them before leaving feedback though.

Thanks for the report.
What was your cost?

I intend to start my 6560-101 drop-in replacement project later this year, and would like to have at least 10 real 6560's in my parts tray.

The equivalent of 50 USD for three chips.

Not bad.
Much better than the LittleDiode price.
Do you have a link to the store?

Thanks,
Brad

This was the seller I used

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/6561-10 ... autifyAB=2

There are a couple of other sellers that sell in units of 5.

Searching for NTSC chips only comes up with one hit and they want $25 each.
