WTB: C64 Flash Cart

Post by Jeff-20 »

Robert has seen fit that I should modernize my commodore ventures (C64). I suppose I should be looking for an "EasyFlash" but I know there are several versions. The ones on ebay are not specific about what versions they are. Can anyone help me with a sale or even a tip on where to get a good flash cart?

Easy Flash 3 is the best, you can purchase it in the US from Jim Brain : http://store.go4retro.com/easyflash-3/

Retro Donald sells it too but it is sold as a kit : http://www.sinchai.de/index.php?main_pa ... 2f49eecd87

features:
8 8kB slots for alternative KERNAL ROM images,
7 x EasyFlash 1 cartridge image slots.

info : http://skoe.de/easyflash/doku.php?id=ef3intro

Generally, on eBay, if there is no version, it is an EasyFlash 1.

EasyFlash 1 has one button

EasyFlash 3 has three buttons

I agree with majikeyric, the EF3 from Jim Brain is your best value right now.

The EF3 also has 3 slots for freeze carts such as Retro Reply, Action Replay, Nordic Play or Super Snapshot

Besides with Jim you get excellent help if anything should go wrong.

I looked on eBay just now and all those EF carts listed are EF1, they only have a single 1 megabyte slot.
