I'll be hitting the first one to replace the (possibly) faulty one I currently have.

I wonder if some public authority, like a municipal gov't, or a public museum (like the ottawa science and tech museum) would consider buying it?

The Computer History Museum could use it to fill out their collection.

I suppose it will get re-listed later. For some reason, I think a serious buyer looking to acquire a complete museum in the $100,000 range does his estate (?) shopping through other means than eBay. For example, the web page should on their opening page in some nice way state that the collection is for sale.

I don't understand what "display a museum in your place of business" means. Is the seller suggesting to give up your job and run a museum out of the stuff, or that a business can decorate their offices with old computers? Somehow I doubt running a museum for a living is a lucrative business, unless it is Louvren or some place like that.

The starting price averages at $165/computer. I don't bother to find out how many are really incredibly rare, but do you think that is a reasonable price level? By the way, can e.g. PayPal handle that large amounts in one transaction?

Did you notice that they have two VIC-20, of which one has a modded keyboard (the light grey one from C64c).
