AMDEK VIDEO-300A amber Monitor for $15.

Post by Barney »

If anybody is interrested, I have an AMDEK VIDEO-300A monitor for sale (only $15). This monitor looks awesome on a Vic-20 and Commodore 64. The back of the monitor has an RCA Video Input. Here's the link to see a picture of it. I'm willing to ship.

Cute! If it's not already sold, do you send to Italy?

I could ship to Italt but the shipping price would be astronomical. I shipped an Amiga 3000 case to Germany and I think it cost the buyer around $70. Let me know if your still interrested.

Wow - nope, it's a little too much :? .
I'm constantly looking for a nice retro-looking monitor for the VIC-1020 + VC20 setup, but there aren't many monochrome monitors with knobs and stuff for sale in Italy.. Plus, the trip from America could damage it.

I had a Philips green monochrome monitor (after my B/W TV) but the yellow tone is fascinating

I have a little 9-inch black-and-white monitor that I used to bring to FCUG meetings in the 1990's. It was cute, and the FCUG president at the time even made an offer to buy it from me. I never took him up on the offer, and it now sits in storage.

Sounds nice! Is it still working? Suitable for a VIC-20? Are you willing to sell it? I guess postage would be from the US anyway :? .

It sure can. I sold it a while back but I have another monitor if anybody is interested. It is a NAP green composite monitor. It's basically a rebranded Magnavox 80. It also has a nice screen and works with Vic-20, C-64, Amiga, Applet, etc. Let me know if anybody is interested. I'll sell it cheap...about $25 plus actual shipping costs.

Ah, an amber monitor! This brings back memories of our old 64C system that we got from Montgomery Grant... 64C, amber monitor, 1541C and a little Commodore plotter that we never found a use for.

I always loved amber screens, because they were a nice change from the green that everybody else had at the time.

That reminds me that I have an ugly Apple Monitor /// (green monochrome) sitting in storage, too. One word: e-waste! Ugh... :|
